Sidney Charles "Sid" Fisher, age 65 of Fenwick, died early Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Carson City Hospital. He was born June 25, 1947, the son of Orland and Edna (Shourd) Fisher.

Sid was a very talented musician, and played guitar and was the lead singer for many years in a country band. Lines would often form outside the venues the band played. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. On May 7, 1966, he married the former Darlene Haring. She survives, along with their children, John Fisher of Fenwick, Robin Fisher of Belding, and Chad Fisher of Greenville; special grandchildren, Emma, Kyle, Alli, and Madison; his brother, Orland (Rosie) Fisher of Palo; sister, Lee (Vaughn) Steele of Grand Ledge; and "adopted" children, Doug Edwards of Greenville and Love Pirozzo of Sand Lake.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Emma McRoberts and Lily Haring.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 5, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home Greenville, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Palo Cemetery. Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the needs of the family.
