Modena Tollison Fisher, 78, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 15, 2008.
Fisher was born Feb. 17, 1929, in White County, to Charlie Tollison and Mallie Bell Baker Tollison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Floyd Tollison, John Eldon Tollison, Shealie Edward Tollison, Pleas Tollison; and
two sisters, Ruby Tollison and Rowena Tollison.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, U.L. Fisher, of Sparta;
one daughter and son-in-law, Nelda and Freeman Allison, of Baxter;
two sons, Gerald Fisher and his wife Mary Karla, Roger Fisher, all of Sparta;
three sisters, Pearl Anderson, Anna Lee Cole, Helen Stoglin and her husband Lynell, all of Sparta; five grandchildren, Kristi Fisher, Michael Fisher, Chad Fisher, Justin Fisher, Tiffany Henry; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be Jan. 18, 2008, at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Carter Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Wilhite will officiate.
Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
