Nashville, July 26, Mrs. Sallie ALTLAND, wife of Charles ALTLAND, died today at 6 a.m. from the effects of a broken back, sustained in a fall from a hay wagon five weeks ago. She was 47 years, 5 months and 16 days old. At the time of the accident Mrs. Altland had returned on the top of the wagon from the field, being jolted off as the wagon arrived at the barn. She was taken to the York hospital shortly after the accident where she remained until a few days ago, although there was little hopes of saving her life. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Miss Edna, at home and one brother Samuel FISHEL, LaBott. The funeral will be held on Sunday. After brief services at the house at 1:30 p. m. the funeral party will proceed to Roth's church, where concluding services will be held and interment made. She had lived her lifetime in Jackson township and was a lifelong member of Roth's church.
