Alice Carlson

Alice Carlson, age 90, of Monett, Mo., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, while staying at the Lacoba Nursing Center in Monett. Mrs. Carlson was born February 10, 1919, in Mundale, Ark., the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Ash Finn.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Monett where she taught Sunday School. Alice married Everett Carlson on February 1, 1937, in Monett. He preceded her in death in May of 1983.
She is survived by two sons, Tom Carlson and his wife Gloria, of Jerome, Idaho, Charles Carlson, of Three Rivers, Calif.; one daughter, Sharron Terrell and her husband Gary, of Jerome, Idaho; one sister, Inez Turney, of Rogers, Ark.; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clea Wright; one sister, Maxine Simms; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Carlson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Buchanan Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ken Dodson officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Monett. The family invites friends to visit at the funeral home on Sunday, September 13, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be given to the First Freewill Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
