The Daily Notes, Canonsburg PA, Monday 05 April 1943, page 2 - MRS. ANNA ELIZABETH FIFE, 66, wife of JAMES G. FIFE of Venetia, R. D. 1, Peters Township, died suddenly Sunday, April 4, at 12:45 p.m. at her home. Although in failing health for the past five years, her death came unexpectedly. Mrs. Fife was born at Thompsonville on December 22, 1876, a daughter of THOMAS and EVELYN HERRIOTT ROACH, and had spent her entire life in Peters Township. She was united in marriage with James G. Fife on June 20, 1901. The deceased was very active in church work, her church affiliation being with the Center Presbyterian Church were she was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society and the Adult Bible class. She is survived by her husband; one son, THOMAS BOYD FIFE, at home, one brother, FRANK ROACH, of Thompsonville and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Center Presbyterian Church in charge of the Rev. James Fawcett of Wilkinsburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the George A. Hinton Funeral Home until 1 p.m., Wednesday.
