Beulah Katherine "Katie" Fields Berryman, 70, of Lafayette, died Monday, Nov. 18, 1996 in Home Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Berryman worked for Landis and Gyr for 33 years and was a production expediter when she retired in 1989. Born Feb. 11, 1926, near Chalmers, she attended Wolcott grade schools and Round Grove High School and had lived in Lafayette since 1952. She married Glenn Karr "Speed" Berryman on August 17, 1943 in Alexandria, LA; he survives. Mrs. Berryman was a member and former deacon of First Christian Church, a member of Landis and Gyr 25-Year Club, Landis and Gyr Athletic Club, American Association of Retired Persons, a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose auxiliaries and a former member of the Loomers of the Moose and the Eagles lodges. Surviving with her husband are three sons, Glenn T. Berryman and Robert E. Berryman, both of Lafayette, and Sanford Lee Berryman of Olathe, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Fields Mathew of Lake Placid, FL, and Norma Jean Fields Denhart of Fowler; also 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and a granddaughter. Service Friday, Nov. 22, at First Christian Church; private internment service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
