Barbara Jean (Ferris) Baskett passed away on March 4, 2013 at home surrounded by her family.

Vibrant, beautiful and adventurous until the end, Barbara was born in Osborne, Kansas on September 1, 1937, the daughter of Paul William and Cora May Ferris.

While in Long Beach, Barbara met the love of her life, and they were married on June 23, 1955, and were long-time residents of Garden Grove.

Deeply connected and devoted to one another through their marriage, they shared many adventures and lived a life surrounded by family and friends.

Beloved by all who knew her, Barbara was more than just a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister; she was a true inspiration, a heartfelt friend. She loved life and all those around her.

She was preceded in death by her son Gary Allen Baskett, and grandson Bradley Allen Baskett.

She is survived by her five daughters; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends is scheduled on Friday, March 8th from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the next day at 2:00pm, followed by graveside services all of which to be held at Westminster Memorial Park.
