Vicki L. Ferrick, 65, of Columbia, passed away at her home after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard Hall and Gladys Mulwane Hall. She was married to John L. Ferrick for 49 years on February 1st. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Deborah (J. Michael) Zercher, John L. (Lisa) Ferrick, Jr., Brenda (Jay Steiger) Hengst; 4 grandchildren, Adrienne and Derek Zercher, Nicole and John L. Ferrick III; and a brother, Jerrold Hall. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Haas, and a brother, Richard Hall.
Vicki was a graduate of McCaskey High School. She worked 22 years at Y&S Candies. She was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church. Vicki enjoyed reading, traveling especially to Hawaii, going to yard sales, collecting Hall's Autumn Leaf dishes, and spending time with family and friends.
Vicki's Life Celebration Service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3825 Concordia Rd., Columbia on Friday, May 31st, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Anne Kingsborough officiating. Private interment at the convenience of the family.
