Born on November 2, 1939, in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Borges) Ferreira. She was a lifelong resident of Fall River.
Mrs. Ambrose worked as a seamstress for the Betcyan Fabrics Company in Fall River for many years. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Fall River.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She loved music. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her former husband, she is survived by a son, Peter G. Ambrose, III of Somerset, a sister, Helen Faris, of Fall River. She was the sister of the late Jacqueline Russell. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Her funeral will be from the Hebert-Hathaway Funeral Home, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne’s Church, South Main St. Fall River. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
