Alma was born near Itasca, Texas to Hugh Christian and Lydia Cannon Ferguson. She married William Ferris Alfrey January 16, 1916. They had two children, Hugh Allen born in 1919 and Mary Louise born in 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband and son. She was survived by her daughter, son-in-law Samuel Owen, and two grandchildren, Phillip and DeAnne. She was a wonderful seamstress and cook, very kind to people. She was also a wonderful grandmother.
