FENTON, Charles Dexter - 89, Eastern Passage, Halifax Co., formerly of Middle Country Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away Friday, August 29, 2003, in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Stormont, he was a son of the late Herbert Henry and Elizabeth Ann (Hodgson) Fenton. During his working life he was employed with the Seal Harbour Gold Mines, Trenton Car Works, in the lumber industry and in later years prior to retirement he was a salesman for Rawleigh Products. He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Nickerson, Sherbrooke; daughters, Julia Hayne (Raymond Clyburne), Eastern Passage; Colleen (Richard) Langille, Cross Roads, Country Harbour; son, Wendell, Oxford; sisters, Grace (Charles) MacLaren, Country Harbour; Garnetta Ryan, Bedford; Verda Wilson, Sherbrooke; brother, Parker Fenton, Country Harbour; grandchildren, Marvin Hayne, Jimmy, Aubrey and Mona Fenton; great-grandchildren, Adrian and Justin Hayne, Kimberly, Katie, Ashley, and Brooke Fenton. He was predeceased by brothers, Seymour, Churchill, and William in infancy; sisters, Blanche Leaman, Edith Pellerin and Thelma Cameron. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in Stormont Union Church, Stormont, Rev. Joanna Doak officiating. Burial in Stormont Cemetery. Family flowers only by request.
