Sandra Kay "Sandy" Felkins, age 55 died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.

Born Dec.28, 1945, at Liberal, KS she was the daughter of Lloyd Smith and Goldie Rasler Smith Kerns. She lived in the Liberal area until 1986 when she moved to Spearville, KS and then moved to Offerle, KS. She attended the Offerle Methodist Church and was a member of the Women's Bowling Association bowling on the Lucy Liquor Team.

She worked for Arrowhead West-Kinsley Branch for 14 years as a Life Skills Instructor teaching handicapped adults life skills.

On Nov. 18, 1995 she married Fred Felkins at Coldwater, KS. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Ronnie Burns, Offerle, KS, Jim Burns, Wichita, KS and Troy Davis, Garden City, KS; one step-son, Thierry Felkins, Kinsley, KS; two step-daughters, Cindy Rabe and Sonia Hays both of Bucklin, KS; mother, Goldie Kerns, Hooker; two sisters, Joyce Tedrow, Scott City, KS and Jonnie Slatten, Tyrone; 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Lloyd Smith.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 7 at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel in Liberal, KS with Pastor Avery Rutledge presiding. Burial followed at Liberal Cemetery. A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Offerle United Methodist Church, Offerle, KS.

The family suggests memorials to be sent to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch or Arrowhead West in care of Kitch-Bernneman Funeral Home, 2323 W 2nd, Liberal, KS 67901.
