Mrs. Louis Berner, 84, 1103 Milton Ave., a Janesville area resident for 50 years, died Friday evening in Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.

The former Mary Felix, daughter of Joseph and Regina Felix, was born in Bohemia, Nov. 17, 1879. She was married to Louis Berner Aug. 20, 1901 in Edson, Wis., and they observed their 63rd wedding anniversary this month. After farming on Rte. 2 they retired and moved to Janesville in 1952. Mrs. Berner was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Altar Society.

Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mmes. Marvin Stillmank, Francis Fuller, Kosmas Miller and Sylvan Henry, all of Janesville; two sons, Aloysius, Dixon, Ill., and Louis Berner Jr., Janesville; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Wenzel Felix, Stanley, Wis. One son, two daughters and three brothers predeceased her.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Whitcomb Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock in St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
