Birth: Jan. 5, 1820
Death: May 30, 1905

"Americus Times Recorder", June 2, 1905, page 5 gives a lengthy obituary, saying he was born in South Carolina, moved to Houston Co, Ga and then in 1849 to Americus. This obit lists Capt. Calvin W Felder as a fighter in the Seminole and Indian Wars as well as a member and supporter of the Confederacy. Mrs. John B. Shaw is listed as a survivor also.

Fold3 has C. W. Felder's service card on line, He enlisted in Americus, GA in July 1863 with Company E 20th GA Cav. Robinsons state guards, and was a Lieutenant.
