Helen Louise Baker, age 65 of Graham, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1951 in Grant County, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Hester and Nina Leoda (Davis) Feaster. On November 29, 1991, Helen married Carl E. Baker, who survives in Graham, NC.
Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Petersburg High School and attended West Virginia Univesity. She was a member of the Piedmont Baptist Church in North Carolina.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baker is survived by: a daughter, Anna Thiel of Clayton, NC; a son, Nicholas Sean Ruble of Alaska; 2 sisters, Betty Jane Martin and Virginia Sue Durham; 5 brothers, Robert Hester Feaster, Jr., Charles Jeffeson Feaster, James William Feaster, Doyell Wayne Feaster, Dale Rolan Feaster; and 2 grandchildren, Noah Sean Ruble and Aiden Lucas Thiel.
Mrs. Baker's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor DW Feaster officiating. Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg.
