Services for Minnie Lee Farrish Acy, 83, of Vaiden, who died of heart failure Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Vaiden Community Living Center, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mrs. Acy was a homemaker and a former employee of Baldwin Piano & Organ Co. A native and lifelong resident of Carroll County, she was born Feb. 15, 1922, to the late Robert L. and Dessie Sudduth Farrish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Acy; her parents; one sister, Doris Compton; and two brothers, L.Z. Farrish Sr. and Dick Farrish.

She is survived by a son, Bobby Acy of Coila; two sisters, Mary Virginia Windham of Ellisville and Helen Leigh of Black Hawk; one brother, Marvin Farrish of Black Hawk; four grandchildren, Sylvia Hamrick and Kim Young, both of Greenwood, and Raymond Acy and Barry Acy, both of Winona; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Carlos Braswell will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Black Hawk.

Pallbearers will be Walter Compton, Milton Farrish, Junior Farrish, Larry Acy, Billy Carl Holeman and Danny Prince.
Honorary pallbearers will be Katie Hamrick, Hillary Acy, Lee Hamrick IV, John David Young Jr., Mayme Young, Regan Acy, Dalton Acy, Hunter Acy, Payton Acy and Colby Acy.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Baptist Cemetery Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
