Chester E. Farragut, 62, a resident of 5614 Evergreen St., Pascagoula, was dead on arrival Monday at Singing River Hospital.
Mr. Farragut, owner of Jackson County Sanitary Service, was a native and lifelong redident of Pascagoula. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a member of the Pascagoula-Moss Point Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Makowski of Wilmington, Del.; and Mrs. Harry Bueche of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Floyd Farragut of Jacksonville,Fla., and Adam Farragut of Savannah, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Allday and Mrs.William Martin, both of Pascagoula, and Mrs. Louise Remus of Houston, Tex.; and 19 grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel followed by burial in Machpelah Cemetery.
