Georgia Cora Farnham Snow was the elder of two children born to George C. Farnham (b.1863) and his wife Cora Elizabeth Craig Farnham (1871-1907). Her father worked as an electrician, first at Readfield, ME, and then for a time at Kingston, NY. After Cora Farnham's death in 1907 Georgia and her younger brother Rolland (b. 1894) moved in with their maternal grandparents in Needham, MA. Her father remained in Kingston where he worked at a power plant. Needham was where Georgia met Welton Ames Snow (1891-1962), the son of a banker. Soon after graduating from M.I.T. in 1914 Welt joined the U.S. Army. However, before he shipped overseas in World War I he and Georgia married in Indianapolis, IN on July 13, 1917. Thereafter, Georgia's life was tied to Welt's career, a career that took them to Miami in the Roaring Twenties and finally to Washington, DC, with a long interval of wartime separation. Welton Snow died on July 29, 1962. Distraught and depressed, Georgia died a week later, a presumed suicide. The couple had no children.
