BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for Mrs. Gertie N. Barnes, 97, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2007, at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery, Haughton.
Gertie was born on November 2, 1909 in Ida, LA to parents, Jonas and Vida Farmer and entered into rest on Wednesday, February 21, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Lee Barnes; niece, Irene Heflin Jones and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her family, Larry Jones of Haughton, LA., June Little of Tallahassee, FL., Lt. Dick Deason of Gainesville, FL., Pinnie Causey of Flower Mound, TX., Leola Redfield of Silver City, NM., Minnie Lee Kelly of Benton, LA., Faye Ballou of Shreveport, LA., Buddy Farmer of Ida, LA. and numerous extended family.
Gertie outlived the majority of her friends, but those who are left behind will miss her deeply.
