Benjamin (Ben) Falk was born in lower Manhattan, New York, April 3, 1909.

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Sylvia of 76 years; their children Harvey and Barbara Falk, Dr. Stephen Falk, grandchildren and great grandchildren,

Ben graduated from the Columbia University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1930. At the time of his retirement in 1974 in New York City, he had worked for the Eli Lilly and Company for 39 years.

He and Sylvia moved to Houston in 1978. He then passed the Texas Pharmacy State Board exams and has been volunteering his professional services as a pharmacist to St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital through May of 2008.

Ben was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was very understanding, loving, sincere, devoted and a loyal and kind friend. He had many friends and acquaintances, and was highly regarded and respected in his field and by all who knew him. He was an interesting storyteller to young and old, and supplied many touches of humor, wit and laughter as he went along. He could fascinate you with remembrances of things past. Ben supplied the saccharin where it was deserved, as well as the vinegar whenever the occasion arose.
