Mrs. Mary Bartoo Dies
Funeral services were held in the Howard Funeral chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Mary Bartoo, 81, whose death occurred on Saturday, Rev. Edmund Warne Pastor of the Remington Methodist church officiated.
Born in Benton county, she was married to Frank J. Bartoo, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Bowman of Big Rapids, Mich.; Miss Nellie Bartoo at home, and Mrs. Merle Carlile of Remington; one son, Ed D. Bartoo of Prescott, Arizona; a sister, Mrs. Chas. Boothby of Ft. Wayne; and a brother, Charles Fisher of Fulton.
Burial was made in the Remington cemetery.

Obituary
Mary Fisher Bartoo
Mary (Fisher) Bartoo was born Feb. 19, 1866, the daughter of Jacob and Ann Fisher. She died on March 8th 1947, following a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 81 years and 16 days.
In March 1884 she was married to Frank Bartoo, and to this union eight children were born. William, Anna, Elmer and Pearl preceded her in death. She is survived by her children; Mrs. Ida Bowman of Big Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Irene Carlile of Remington, E.D. Bartoo of Prescott, Ariz.; and Nellie Bartoo, who lived with her here in Remington. Also living are a sister, Mrs. Charles Boothby of Ft. Wayne and a brother Charles Fisher of Fulton; 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
She lived in the community all her life. In her childhood she united with the Bethany Christian Church near Remington, and later transferred her membership to the Remington Christian Church. She continued to this faith until her death, altho for some years she had been unable to attend church services.
