Clara Mae Everhart, 90, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church in Canyon, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Clara was the third of seven children born to Edward Kirkland Dunavant and Ida Ellen Crenshaw on Nov. 17, 1917, in Floydada. She married Willie Harvey Everhart on Feb. 2, 1935, in Silverton. After her husband was killed in World War II, she moved to Amarillo and worked hard to raise her son and daughter on her own. She worked for Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. for more than 20 years and then for Amarillo Answering Service for several years before her retirement. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them dearly. She loved to read, quilt and spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ethyl Porterfield, Faye Milton and Deane Garrett; a brother, Bob Dunavant; and a son, Billy Ray Everhart.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Bullard of Canyon; a brother, Ted Dunavant and wife Armenta of Hatfield, Ark.; a sister, Florence Calvert of Roswell, N.M.; three grandchildren, Cheryl Aaron and husband Kurt of Dalhart, Bryan Bullard and wife Joanne of Sugar Land and Randy Bullard and wife Dana of Canyon; nine great-grandchildren, Aaron and Alyssa Duncan, Adam Duncan and wife Jeremee', Pamela Aaron and John, Josh, Dani, Brianne and Paul Bullard; and several nieces and nephews.
