Their son Urous was killed after jumping down off a hay wagon onto a pitchfork handle that entered his rectom and killed him. The family stayed there 4 years and got the title to the land and came home after selling the property. When all the other children growed up and starting getting married William and Melissa gave them all farms with acreage to start out their lives with. Melissa was a good Christian woman and near her death was her two daughters were by her bedside along with and other family members. They thought she had passed, when she opened her eyes and said, why did I have to come back? I saw my mother and my sister and a beautiful River. It was not too long before she passed away .
