"Miss Mary (Polly) Evarts, third daughter of the late Maxwell and Mrs. Evarts, died early Wednesday morning at the home of her uncle, Rev. Prescott Evarts, in Cambridge, Mass., of pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. The funeral was held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Episcopal church with Rev. Prescott Evarts officiating. Among those present from out of town were Captain Jeremiah Evarts, Allen Evarts, Miss Elizabeth Evarts and other relatives. (The Vermont Journal, January 17, 1919)
