Paul E. Evans, 79, of St. Charles, died Friday (March 22, 2002) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

Mr. Evans was a retired spray painter for McDonnell Douglas Corp., now Boeing Co., where he had worked for 40 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He also was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service today at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Baue. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street.

Among the survivors are his wife, Doris J. Evans of St. Charles; two daughters, Cheryl LaFollette and Tamara Rhodes, both of St. Charles; a son, Timothy Evans of St. Charles; nine grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, Mo. 63301.
