Mrs. Annie B. Eure
GATES, N.C. - Mrs. Annie Brinkley Eure, 85, died Sunday in the home of her son, Lloyd T. Eure of 222 Mohican Drive, Portsmouth. A native of Nansemond County, she was the widow of John T. Eure.
She was a member of Eure Christian Church and its Christian women Fellowship and was an active member of the Ladies' Bible Class.
Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Martha Schwab of Gates, Mrs. Marie Swain of Portsmouth, Mrs. Dorothy Edwards of Chesapeake, Mrs. Joan Blythe of Windsor, Va., and Mrs. Joyce Brunson of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two sons, John E. Eure of Portsmouth, and Dick Brinkley Eure of Severn; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Burden of Roxobel, Mrs. Edrie Clay of Southernland, Va., and Mrs. Mildred Lewter of Suffolk, Va.; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Wayne Gardner and Dr. R. E. Brittle. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contri-butions may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or Eure Christian Church. Jack W. Harrell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
