Elnora Eure Riddick, 80, of 8849 Whaleyville Blvd., died Monday, March 21, 2011 in Nansemond Pointe Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Riddick was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late Roy Franklin and Seber Crawford Eure. The retired secretary of the former A.M. Riddick Pump & Well Co., she was a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alonza Mack Riddick, Jr.; a daughter, Barbara Anne Riddick, and a son, Carl Mack Riddick.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty R. Barden and husband Nelson of Suffolk; two sons, Ralph Riddick of Suffolk and Paul Riddick and wife Carolyn of Eure; three grandchildren, Jeannette B. March and husband David, and Chris and Bryan Riddick; and two great-grandsons, Tucker and Tanner March.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Reynoldson Baptist Church by the Rev. Todd Higginson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
