Mabel Erwin Charlet, 91, died at Long Beach, Calif.
She was born in Kirksville, Mo., on June 7, 1898. She came to Kinsley in 1900, at the age of 2, with her parents, Olive and Francis Erwin, and a sister, Orpha.
Following graduation from Kinsley High School, she taught in country schools south of Kinsley and near Garden City.
She married Henry Charlet, of Kinsley, in 1919. In 1926, they moved to Long Beach, Calif., where she lived until her death.
She is survived by a daughter, Mariam Game, three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
