Sanford Maze Erwin, 48, resident of the Bunker Hill community and an employee of the County School Bus Garage, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his place of business Monday morning, February 1, about 9:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 2, at Bennett-May Funeral Home by the Rev. J. W. McCullough. Burial took place in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski. A native of Giles County, Mr. Erwin was a son of Wyatt and Leona Loyd Erwin, of the Diana community. In addition to his parents, Mr. Erwin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Watson Erwin; three sons, Bobby Erwin, an employee of Bennett-May Funeral Home, Tommy and James Erwin of Giles County; a brother, Thurman Erwin, Pulaski Policeman; and three sisters, Mrs. Dick Clark, Giles County, Mrs. John Tinery, Houston, Texas, and Mrs. William Sumners, Giles County.
