Jayne Seesholtz Ernst, 84, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA.

Born on December 31, 1925, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Florence (Hatter) Seesholtz.

She was a graduate of the William Penn High School, Harrisburg.

She had worked for the New Cumberland Army Depot, was a charter member of the Chapel Hill United Church of Christ in Camp Hill, and was a former board member of the Peace Church in Hampden Twp., PA.

She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and watching golf.

She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved watching them play hockey.

Surviving is her daughter, Jayne M. Cawthern, of Boalsburg, PA; six grandchildren, Jen Neibauer and her husband, Matt, of Erie, PA; Thomas R. Cawthern and his wife, Misty, of Dover, NH; Andrew G. Cawthern and his wife, Jayme, of Lemont, PA; Bradley H. Cawthern, of Philadelphia, PA; William H. Cawthern, of Hamilton, NY; and Juliet E. Cawthern, of Boalsburg, PA.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Reiner; a son-in-law, Dr. Thomas H. Cawthern; and a brother-in-law, Dr. Robert N. Reiner.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill, PA, with the Rev. Galen E. Russell officiating. Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, is handling funeral arrangements.
