Evelyn V. Boatman, 86, of Silverdale, WA passed away of natural causes on February 29, 2012. Evelyn was born in Wenatchee, WA on January 5, 1926 to Edna (Hudson) and Ronald Erfurth. She attended school in Wenatchee, WA and was married ot Charles J. Boatman on November 4, 1943 in Pasco, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chuck, and sister Dorris Loughnan.
Evelyn is survived by her oldest daughter, Cheryl; younger daughter, Brenda; brother Frank (Buddy) and Jayna Erfurth of Boise, ID and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the beloved Nan "grandmother" to Kelsey, Carly, Brady and Bryn Home.
Throughout her life she worked for various companies, but her true love was that of a bus driver for the Pasco School District for 25 years. She was loved and respected by the students and parents that had entrusted their safe arrival to school every day. Everyone that knew her, loved to hear the positive stories about her students on the bus. After retirement, Evelyn enjoyed traveling with friends, especially cruises to many destinations, camping, fishing, gardening, cooking, especially her fudge, and above all, walking each and every day. Her greatest joy was helping to raise her four grandchildren. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and will live on in their hearts forever.
Inurnment and graveside services will occur at a later date at the City View Cemetery in Pasco, WA. Remembrances in Mrs. Evelyn Boatman's name can be made to your favorite charity
