Chester L. Eppley, RD2, Mechanicsburg, husband of Pauline Trimmer Eppley, died last evening at Carlisle Hospital. He was 67 years old.

Mr. Eppley was born on Aug. 8, 1901 a son of the late Oscar and Catherine Nell Eppley. He was graduated from Carlisle Commercial College and had been employed as an experimental medical manufacturing foreman at the U.S. Army Medical Equipment Research and Development Laboratory at Fort Totten, Flushing, N.Y., until his retirement in 1963. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and St. John's Lodge No. 260, F. and A.M., Carlisle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edgar A. Skilton, Boiling Springs, Mrs. Gerald Dorfuss, White Plains, N.Y., and Mrs. Herbert During, Bay Side, N.Y.; a half-sister, Mrs. Charles Williams, Carlisle; four brothers, Charles and Ralph, Carlisle, Clarence, Harrisburg, and Raymond, Plainfield, and 10 grandchildren.

The funeal (sic) service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street. The Rev. Robert L. Close, his pastor, and the Rev. F.E. Remaly, retired, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 8:30 o'clock. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
