Alvina Friedericka Ennen was born near Bancroft, August 1, 1878. She died March 15, 1947 at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 14 days. Her parents were Ms. and Mrs. Gustave Schroeder.

She was married March 22, 1900 to Dierk Ennen at Oxford. Six children were born to them. Gustav and Herman of Royal; Dora Feyerherm of Schuyler; Hilda Classen of Omaha; Arthur of Walnut and Lawrence of Roberts, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her husband in May of 1941.

Survivors include her children, six grandchildren, one sister and four brothers.

Mrs. Ennen had lived at Oxford for three years, in Wisconsin for eight years, in Minnesota six years and in Nebraska for thirty years.

She had been in poor health for several years. Death resulted from a stroke of paralysis March 13, at the home of her son, Herman, of Royal, with whom she had been living in recent months.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 18 in Orchard and at two o'clock at the Lutheran church with Rev. Wirth officing. Interment was made in the cemetery at Orchard.
