Charlott E. (Loveland) Engstrom, 105, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg. She was born March 17, 1906, at Cherokee, KS, the daughter of Clyde Asa and Anna (Clugston) Loveland. She attended local schools and graduated from Crawford County High School. She married Virgil M. Lampton. They later divorced. She then married Richard Engstrom. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Engstrom worked as a fashion retailer for many years at several boutiques. She was of the Christian Faith. Membership was held in the Eastern Star. Mrs. Engstrom is survived by one son, Phillip E. Lampton and his wife, Pat of Latour, MO, one brother, C. A. Loveland Jr. and his wife, Mary of Pittsburg, KS, seven grandchildren, Eric Erickson, Karin Erickson-Barnett and her husband, George, Mark Erickson and his wife, Pam, Carol Hadley and her husband, David, Bruce Erickson and Danny, Michelle Wansing and her husband, Matt, and Mike Lampton and his wife, Jamie, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Stuart, one daughter, Alyece "Peg" Erickson, three brothers, Glen Loveland, Frank Loveland and Kenneth Loveland. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011, at the Countryside Christian Church, Pittsburg, with Pastor Vance Russell officiating. Mrs. Engstrom will be cremated following the service and burial will be at a later date at the Cherokee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Brenner Mortuary. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials to the Countryside Christian Church Building Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th Street, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. The family will be gathering at the home of Karin Barnett.
