Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 p.m. until religious services at the funeral home chapel at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Carey D. Froelich. Graveside services at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Darrell and Leda Bowden and Dorothy Latham Bowden, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Norma Andrews and Bernice Collins, both of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Waymon Sims Bowden; parents, John Walter and Georgia Austin English; a son, Waymon Bowden Jr.; and five brothers, Curtis, Glenn, Frazier, J. W. and Bryan English.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ronald Perritt, Dr. J. P. Austin, Garland Christian, Douglas and Harold English and Stanley Lemoine.
