The shades of the last night have come upon Sarah Ann Emmons, as the shades of night were on Nov. 11, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Warren.
Mother Emmons was born in Washington county, Ind. Sept. 14 1832, the daughter of James ans Sarah Lewis. She came with her parents to Kosciusko county when she was a young woman, and with them made her home near Sevastopol. She was married to Erastus Emmons on April 22, 1849. There were born to them seven daughters and eight sons. Of thuse there are five daughters and six sons yet living. She endured all the bar ships to which early life in a new country is incident. In early life she believed in God and united with a church. Later she fellowsjipped with the Brethen for several years. She said to the writer more than a year ago that she was living with hope of Eternity. J. F. B.
