Josephine Bohn, 87, of Detroit, Texas, and formerly of Edna, died Friday in a Paris, Texas, hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Slavik Funeral Home chapel in Edna, with the Rev. Dan Nietfeld officiating.

Burial will be in the Memory Gardens of Edna.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 6 p.m. Monday until the time of services.

Mrs. Bohn was born on Nov. 21, 1901, in Caddo Mills to Robert and Mary Emerson.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edna.

Surviving is a brother, Ralph M. Emerson of Detroit, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bohn, in 1979 and her daughter, Betty Burgess, in 1975.
