Rose Elliott Kivett, age 97, of Agape Senior Community, W. Columbia, SC, formerly of Asheboro, died Friday, June 29, 2001 at 2705 Leaphart Rd., W. Columbia, SC.
Mrs. Kivett was the daughter to the late Leander and the late Mattie (Cranford) Elliott. She was the wife of the late George Clifford Kivett.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Kivett had retired as a receptionist with Drs. B.B. Dalton and John Cochran. She was preceeded in death by her husband, George Clifford Kivett. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by daughters: Georgeann K. Pace of W. Columbia, SC and Betsy R. Kivett of Asheboro, NC,Grandson and his wife:Elliott & Nancy Pace of Cayce, SC, Granddaughter and her husband: Laura F. & Steven Matteson of Poulsbo, WA, Great Grandsons: Joshua E. Pace of Greensboro, NC, and Michael Pace of Cayce, SC,sister: Mrs. Dallas E. Leak of Charlotte, NC, nieces: Margaret McDaniel of Charlotte, NC, Lucretia Shermer of Yadkinville, NC, Sarah Leak of Charlotte, NC, Mary Frances Zachary of Richmond, VA, nephews: Charles Elliott of Farmer, NC, Joe Elliott of Farmer, NC, and Dwight Nifong of Plant City, FL
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, July 2, 2001 at 1:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. William Christopher Thore officiating.
