Jennie Beatrice Beck, 93, Clearland, formerly of Newburne, died June 14, 1994, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Pinehurst, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Isabell (Foley) Eisner. She was a school teacher for many years, working mostly in the New Germany and Newburne areas. She was a storekeeper and postmistress and member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Newburne; past member of the Rainbow Club; member of St. Matthew's Ladies Aid and honourary member of the Canadian Red Cross. She is survived by five sons, Donald, Douglas, Harold, all of Newburne; George, Capreol, Ontario; Murray, Watford; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Bernard Durling), Yarmouth; Joan (Mrs. Gordon Zinck), Clearland; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; grandson, Gregory. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Newburne, Rev. Robert Robb officiating. A private graveside service for immediate family only will follow funeral in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Newburne.
