Alvin Bruce Eichorn, 80, of Grantsville, Md., died Jan. 27, 2001, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md.
Born Oct. 3, 1920 in Meyersdale, a son of the late Henry Arthur Eichorn and Annie Lee (Miller) Eichorn Scheffel. Also preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Robert, and one sister, Sara Mast. Survived by his wife, Virginia Rae (Keith) Eichorn; three sons, Arthru, Laurel, Md., Leonard, Salisbury, Dwight, Shepherstown, WVa.; two daughters, Donna Winters, Frostburg, Md., and Janet Blocher Grantsville; one sister, Vera Beitzel, Salisbury; four half brothers, Jonas and Pual Scheffel, both of Somerset, Daivd Scheffel, Lancaster and John Scheffel, Adamstown, Md.; one half sister, Catherine King, Cochranville; one stepbrother, Clarence Scheffel, Lewistown; 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Member of Springs Mennonite Church. Retired from Kaiser Refactories, Zihlman, Md.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., with the Rev.
Steven Heatwole officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Springs Mennonite Church.
