Elizabeth"Betty Jane"Pence,76,of Sioux City died Saturday April 21,2001 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center following a lenghtly illness.Services will be 7p.m.Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel,with Rev.Paul McKane officiating.Visitation will be with the family present 6 to 8p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home.Mrs.Pence was born Dec.9,1924,in Sioux City,the daughter of Clarence and Jean Ege.She attended Central High School and Brair Cliff College.She had been a resident of Rapid City,S.D. from 1953 to 1963.She married Raymond Pence on July 8,1964 in Dakota City,Neb.Survivors include,her husband Ray;four daughters,Elizabeth and her husband Ray Strand of Rapids City,Stephanie and her husband Joe Audino of Sioux City,Christina and her husband Christopher Lee of Salem,Ore.,and Sheila Alex of Milwaukee,Wis.;four sons,Patrick Rensch and wife Dianne,Jim Rensch and wife Linda,and Tom Rensch and his wife Tami all of Rapids City,S.D.,and Scott of Denver,Colo;13 grandchildren;two brothers,Clarence"Bob" Ege and his wife Lorraine and John N.Ege all of Sioux City.She was preceded in death by her parents,a granddaughter,Charity Cain.
