Terry Sheldon Effinger
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, in Leach Botanical Gardens in Portland for Terry Sheldon Effinger, who died Sept. 15 at age 64.
Mr. Effinger was born May 8, 1942, in Portland, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and Portland State University and served in the Navy in the Vietnam War. He was a machine shop foreman for Hyster and then a supervisor Freightliner. In 1963, he married Janet Winters; they divorced.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol A. River; son, Kent D.; sisters, Margaret Doty and Karen E. Lewis; former wife; and three grandchildren.
