Mrs. Burns was a 1943 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She worked as a secretary and personnel director at Ingress-Plastene for 30 years. She was also with USA Life, Morell Law Office, Green Thumb, and retired with the Montgomery County Division of Family and Children where she worked from 1997 to 2005. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Class of 1943 social group.
Mrs. Burns was born November 28, 1925 in Crawfordsville to Roy and Helen Cruse Edwards. She married Cameron V. Burns on November 27, 1947 in Terre Haute. He passed away on January 14, 1981.
Survivors include three sons, Dan (Charlene) Burns of Crawfordsville, Jack Burns and Tom (Janie) Burns, both of Port Charlotte, Florida, as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home of Crawfordsville, Indiana.
