Betty Margaret "Rose Mary" Edwards, 79, passed away at St. Dominics Hospital on July 16, 2007. Services are Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with burial in Rehobeth Memorial Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Edwards was born on June 13, 1928. She was a native of Portsmouth, England but has lived in Copiah County since the age of 18. Mrs. Edward's gained her citizenship in 1951.

Mrs. Edwards was an active member of the Rehobeth United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and a devoted mother to all of her children and loved throughout her community.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Edwards of Hazlehurst; sons, Michael Edwards and wife, Judy, Bobby Edwards and wife, Jane, Ricky Edwards and wife, Polly, Jimmy Edwards and wife, Terri; daughters, Marie Burchess and husband, Tom, Edna Stevens and husband, Ricky, and Lisa Chandler and husband, Ernest; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the Rehobeth Cemetery Fund.
