Jimmie Edwards, age 37, of Detroit, Michigan, formerly of East Chicago, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 1980, at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Survivors: one son, Alonzo L. Davis of Austin, Texas; parents, Henry and Thelma Marks of Hammond; five sisters, Leslie Smith, Jo Ann (Roy) Killins, Rhoda Delphine Marks, Maudine Marks, all of East Chicago, and Nellie Marks of Hammond; two brothers, Henry Marks, Jr. and Leonard (Sharon) Marks, both of Hammond; four nephews, two nieces, six uncles, three aunts, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1980 at 11 a.m. from the Greater First Baptist church, 4756 McCook Avenue, East Chicago, Apostle W. N. Gray officiating. Burial, Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart, Indiana. Friends may call at the Hinton and Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander Avenue, East Chicago, Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
