Ellaline M. "Ella" Edmundson was born in Bournemouth, England, and moved to Oakland when she was 5. She and her husband, John, moved to Calaveras County from the San Francisco Bay Area about 40 years ago. They lived in Arnold until moving to Murphys 2 1/2 years ago.
She was a homemaker and also worked about 15 years keeping the books for her father, who owned two filling stations, one in Arnold and another in Angels Camp.
Mrs. Edmundson was a member of the Meadowmont Women's Golf Club in Arnold and of the Independence Hall Quilters in Arnold.
She is survived by her husband, John Edmundson of Murphys; two sons, John Edmundson of Roseville and Ron Edmundson of Angels Camp; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
