OBITUARY
Charles Sumner Edmundson, 73, a retired Navy chief water tender with 20 years service, died Thursday, June 21 in San Diego. Mr. Edmundson was a former Abilene resident and is a brother of Thomas Edmundson of Abilene. He was born in Newton county, Mo., and had lived in San Diego for 35 years. He was a member of the East San Diego Masonic Lodge, Darius chapter, R.A.M., San Diego Council RSM and San Diego commandary, Knights Templar. Surviving are his wife of San Diego and two brothers, Thomas of Abilene and Ira of Boise, Idaho. Funeral services were held at the Bonham Brothers Mortuary Tuesday, June 26 and entombment was in Cypress View mausoleum.
