Jesup - Margaret Edenfield Carter, 77, July 20, 2005.

The Wayne Co., GA., native was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Faithful Sunday School Class.

She was retired from GA. Narrow Fabrics and was an avid gardener and homemaker.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Carolyn Carter, a grandson, Richard Studstill, Jr., a granddaughter, Davida Thompson.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years Doyle Carter; eight children, Judy and Butch Poppell, Debbie and Butch Kessler, Wanda and Mickey Thompson, Vickie and Richard Studstill, Sonja Carter, Decker and Diane Carter, Derell and Ann Carter, and Randy Carter; four sisters, Willa Dean McCall, Marlene Brown, Louise Holmes, and Katie Butler, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren

Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday from the Rinehart Chapel.

Interment: Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials: American Cancer Society Wayne County Unit, P.O. Box 464, Jesup, GA. 31598 and Hospice of South Georgia, 117 Drennon Dr., Jesup, GA. 31545.
