Funeral services for Mrs. Maybell Eddins Bailey, 75, Athens Rt. 4, were Saturday at 2 p.m. at the McConnell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Herbert Williamson and Rev. Denny M. Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey died Thursday morning at her residence.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Clem of Hixson, Tenn.; one son, Mr. George R. Bailey of Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Dunn of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Rena Cooley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one niece and three nephews.
Pallbearers were Bill Jordan, Marvin Jordan, Larry Brown, C.H. Moore, Lester Turner and Granville Turner.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Algood, Ala., to Richard and Ada Schrimsher Eddins and was a member of the Isom's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was a member and held numerous offices in the John Wade Keyes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was recently installed as historian of the chapter.
