Daughter of John Eckley and Emma Sybilla Kibler.


Emma was christened at St. Paul's Church. The sponsors were her parents. The church record gave her date of birth as 24 September 1898 but her date of birth on her marriage license is 25 September 1898.

Emma Elizabeth Eckley and John Bolser Arnold were married by Rev. C. W. Strasser at Christ Church, Hamilton Square (Monroe County marriage license #8171). In 1930 they were both living at Saylorsburg, PA. John was a carpenter.

Emma Elizabeth Eckley and John Bolser Arnold had two children:
1. Daugher Arnold who m. Mr. Steen
2. Kenneth Norton Arnold.
In 1951, 1959, 1968, 1978 and 1985 Emma was living at Saylorsburg, PA. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church.

Emma died at Easton Hospital and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Saylorsburg by the Daniel G. Warner Funeral Home of Stroudsburg, PA, Rev. Judy M. Keller officiating. (Obit in "Pocono Record", 28 February 1985)
